Dagestan: Lawyer Still Not Admitted to Ismailov - His mother and wife interrogated as witnesses

A lawyer Gadzhimurad Izmaylov, appointed by the parents of the detained on June 22, 2012 Ruslan Ismailov - a resident of Makhachkala, Dagestan, is still not admitted to him. Human Rights Center "Memorial" reported earlier that Ruslan was taken to the Kirovskiy ROVD of Makhachkala, and then taken to the Center of Combating extremism. The only meeting between the lawyer and his client was held on June 25 in Makhachkala detention center. Izmaylov reported that Ismailov had been severely beaten, his body was bruised, a large hematoma was on his face. Ruslan told the lawyer that he had been tortured with electric shocks, beaten severely, weapon had been planted on him. The lawyer left the detention center, and two hours later, when he returned, the officer on duty said that Ruslan already had a lawyer and refused the service of any other defender.
