 Memorial Human Rights Centre On May 25, 2012, a court hearing in the case of the beating of teenager Makhmud Akhmedov by a police officer from the Shamilsky police department, Magomed Magomedov, took place at the Shamilsky Regional Court (village of Khebda, Republic of Dagestan). Witness for the prosecution Musa Magomedovich Magomedov denied earlier testimony, according to which he had witnessed the defendant Magomed Magomedov hit the teenager in the office of the police officer Gamzat Nurudinov.
