Kabardino-Balkaria: Nalchik Resident Abducted

On June 18, 2012 around 5 pm local resident El'dar Mamaev, born in 1982, was abducted in the town of Nal'chik of Kabardino-Balkaria (KBR). His brother Rustam Mamaev, native of KBR living in Moscow, reported about the abduction in his application to the Human Rights Centre Memorial. According to eyewitnesses, when Eldar was standing near the bus station on Tarchokov street, a car approached him. People in masks got out of it. They made El'dar sit in their car and drove off in an unknown direction. [Read more
