![]() On April 1, 2012, the relatives, colleagues and friends of Abubakar Isaevich Zechoev, born in 1978, addressed a written request to the current President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the incumbent President Vladimir Putin, as well as the head of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov. They demanded “immediate access of the lawyer and doctor to the victim; to hold accountable all the law enforcement officers that took part in the abduction and to put an end once and for all to the practice of kidnapping and extrajudicial executions”. “If the authorities do not listen to us, we are going recur to all peaceful means of protests, rallies and demonstrations”.
