Official results of the XVIII International Stalker Human Rights Film Festival held in Moscow on 10-15 December 2012

This year 84 films were screened at the XVIII International Stalker Human Rights Film Festival, held in Moscow on 10-15 December 2012. Of these 84 films, 49 entered in the various competitions. The official results of the competitions are as follows.

The Jury of feature films composed of Valery Akhadov, Alexei Muradov, Andrei Osipov awarded the following films: 

Prize “Debut – “Stalker”
to the director Natalia Nazarova for the film “Daughter”

Prize “Stalker” for the best feature film
to the film “I’ll be Near”, director Pavel Ruminov

Special prize “Stalker” for the best woman’s role
to Maria Shalaieva for the film “I’ll be Near”

Special prize of the Jury
to director Alexander Proshkin for the film “Atonement” for commitment to the theme of human rights.

Jury’s diplomas
to Masha Smolnikova for the role in the film “Daughter”
to Dasha Melnikova for the role in the film “Steel Batterfly”

The Jury of non-feature films composed of Vadim Abdrashitov, Alexei Simonov, Raisa Fomina awarded the following films:

Prize named after Georgy Zhzhenov
to the workshop of Marina Razbezhkina for the excellent film “Winter, Go Away” shot by her students

Prize named after Sergei Govorukhin
to the film “The Border Effect”, directors Kirill Sedukhin, Georgy Molodtsov, Olga Stefanova

Prize “Stalker” for debut in documentary cinema
to the film “Sing”, director Yevgenia Shamova

The main prize “Stalker” for the best documentary film
to the film “Town. M”, director Igor Morozov

Jury’s diplomas to documentary films:
to the studio “Positive-Film” under the supervision of Alla Surikova for regular participation in the festival “Stalker” and for the excellent presented at the festival film “ Where Makar Calf….”

to the film “Saving Mercy”, director Usman Saparov

Prize named after Anatoly Pristavkin
to the film “Town.M” of Igor Morozov for covering the history of the country through the history of the town.

Prize named after Felix Svetov
to the film “Yurgis Baltrushaitis: the Last Knight of “Silver Century “ of Yevgeny Tsymbal for covering the historic truth and presenting of the epoch via the fate of its real heroes.
